This rare gem in the Caribbean between Guadeloupe and
Martinique is a country of outstanding beauty and has been
shaped by volcanic activity over generations. A paradise in
progress, “The Nature Island”.
Dominica’s tropical rainforests cover two thirds of the island
with dramatic fauna. The island, it is said, has a river for every
day of the year with invariably fast and steep streams leading to
hundreds of falls; it is also home to 1,200 species of plants.
Pristine waterfalls, deep gorges and volcanic bedrock canyons,
brightly coloured sulfur springs, mini-geysers and bubbling mud
pools – the island’s panoramic views are breath taking.
