Dubai Marina
About Property
When the Dubai Marina was begun in 2003 it became a whole new waterfront on the Arabian Gulf, created by channelling the waters of the Gulf into a series of elegant canals. The Marina’s popularity is enormous, with some of the most desirable and sought-after property anywhere in Dubai, or indeed the world, found amongst its many developments and skyscrapers.
Part of its appeal lies in its great location – easily accessible from the airport and Jebel Ali Port, with Sheikh Zayed Road running alongside, the Marina is also in very close proximity to Dubai Internet City, Dubai Media City and the American University in Dubai. It is also adjacent to Palm Jumeirah.
But the biggest draw to the Marina is the Jumeirah Beach Residence, which is currently the world’s largest single-phase residential development. Comprising luxurious villas, towers and skyscrapers, amongst which are several 4 and 5 star hotels, JBR’s popularity is further boosted by The Walk – a mile-long stretch of retail and leisure outlets including clothing stores, boutiques, department stores, restaurants, cafes and gyms.
Also at Dubai Marina are the retail complex The Beach; Dubai Marina Mall; and other residential developments such as Marina Quays, the twin towers of Al Sahab and Park Island.
Dubai Marina can be reached on the Red Line of the Dubai Metro – the rapid transit station ‘Dubai Marina’ is just off Interchange 5 of Sheikh Zayed Road. As of late November 2014, the Marina will also be served by the Al Sufouh Tramway.
