How to buy a property in Ras Al Khaimah


If you find a property with Sherwoods Real Estate LLC. we negotiate for you with the seller about the sales price. After agreed with the seller about the price then a deposit of 10% must be paid as a reservation. In the mostly cases the buyer need to sign a reservation form before the sales agreement (MOU) will be signed.

On the transfer date the buyer will also be expected to pay a transfer fee of 1% of the original price and our agent fees of between 1% and 2% of the sales price.

Furthermore the land department charges a fee of 2 % of the new sales price in order to provide the new title deed. Of course we are assisting you to get the title deed.

If you are buying a property off-plan, expect to pay around 10% as an initial deposit and then staged payments on specified dates until the property is completed. This should be clearly stated in your contract.
